and this is sashimi tuna. I don't eat raw fish, but I asked around and they said it's great.
Why tuna, you ask. Well, this Bali trip is held by some ministry (lets not make it too detail) whose one of its top official is running for the election of Director General of FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization, its one of UN body, google it). He's showing some Non Alignment Movement delegates to some field trip, tuna trip, mangrove trip and porcelain trip. They have some sophisticated names but I'll just call it that since I like to make things simple.
Well this candidate (who went to my almamater, or was it me who went to his almamater? :D) wanted to boost the aqua culture as one of alternative of food producing. To make it simple, he want people to eat fish more and rice less. Since you know, rice is scarce and fish is still abundant for now. It's all about balancing and feeding our six billion people on Earth.
The election is in June, and lets hope he got it, cause that'll be cool.. :D
Enough with tuna, here's other pictures:
First, the mangrove trip. Don't be fooled, I wasn't in the real mangrove forest. This picture was taken indoor, they have some display which are almost as good as the real one. Good job.

Porcelain trip. They have good stuffs there, but I didn't buy anything, kinda hard to transport them home.
kinda make you want to sing.. "ooohh my love, my darling.. i've hungered for.. your love.." right? It's so Ghost.. :D
The even organizer give away this cool cowboy hat and they were all too excited, they keep wearing them around. Cute.
Balinese are creative people. I give them all my thumbs up. And now, back to the bus.
So, that was the work and now.. for the fun stuffs.
We stayed in Legian, near Kuta which sunset is just amazing. People say, Legian is the cheaper version of Kuta. The hotels are cheaper and it's sort of the perfect spot for some nocturnal entertainment (:D). You'll find bars and cafes and shops along the Legian street with so many tourists walking down the streets if you intend to meet people. I wasn't looking to meet or chat with someone, but I enjoyed walking down its street.
this is a monument for the Bali bombing victims.
And that was goofing around..
Regrettably, I didn't go to the beach, and this the closest I get to sea water:
But I'll be back there, promise.. :)
