Yeah, move over, girl! I need that hug.
:(
This is supposed to be a happy day. Well, not happy, really, just a not so ordinary day. There's this big international jazz festival going on in the city and I have the privilege -as a journalist, of course- to watch it for the whole three days. A chance that many of my peer doesn't have cause they were not invited to cover the event.
I should be happy, right?
The think is, I already attended the same festival last year, and I'm so not into jazz. I found that music is rather.. boring. I know that improvisation is the key of jazz and whatever, but I never really like it. I mean, listening to one song or two is okay, but having my three days fill with jazz music is hell. Almost like hell, I don't know, never been there. ;D
And so there I was, in the morning, thinking about how I'm going to get through this festival. Preparing wise moves so I won't exhaust myself (or hunger myself), just thinking in my room until my boss sent me a not-so-nice SMS.
She said, "How are you, sleeping well last nite. Where's the morning news, by the way?" And I went like, "What the f*ck?" There's this policy that every division of news have to provide one morning news that shall be released before 10 am. And my boss send that disturbing SMS at 9.45 am. F*ck. What is that suppose to mean? Did she just try to annoy me or testing me or she was just doing both?
When I don't reply to the message and went back to my morning beauty sleep (;D), she try to annoy me further by sending another disturbing SMS and ask me to cover this not so important news. But that's not what bothering me. What bothering me is, she knew that I'm going to go to the festival which is mean that I'm going to be up all night.
So I told her I can't go and reminded her that I have the night coverage. I don't know if she take my answer or not, I don't care.
It just, does she always has to ruin my day?
