Pulling A Carrie..

Few days ago I told a story to my boyfriend of two years about our mutual friend who take his girlfriend for some ice cream. I think it's cute. And this is what happened last night when we browsed around a store who also sell stuffed animal toys:

My guy: You want me to buy you a doll? This one looks cute. (pointing to a pink teddy bear)

Me: *dumbstruck* Doll? Why would I want a doll?

My guy: Well, I thought girls like dolls, you know, to be cuddled..

Me: I see.. Yeah, I think they do. But why not buy me shoes instead? I like that better..

My guy: *giving that killing look of you-already-have-so-many-shoes* (I should know that look, see it every time I bought new pair of shoes :D)

And no, he decided not to buy me a teddy bear, and sadly, didn't buy me shoes either. Ouchh.. Why did it work on Carrie Bradshaw but not on me? :D
