The only sports I like and actually love doing is swimming. I was a regular swimmer back in college days since you know, college kids have too much free time in their hands. But when I sank to the working world in this big city, I rarely have the chance (or maybe I'm just too lazy).
The other reason I don't get to swim anymore is because not many decent swimming pool you can find in Jakarta. Usually the ones who are decent are extremely expensive I can't afford and the ones I can afford is just awful. I don't need to explain, I guess, but it got something to do with a bad quality water and bad quality people who go there. One swimming pool near my old lodging even have the reputation as a place where gays look for guys. Scary..
But lately, me and the girls find that swimming in Cikini Swimming pool is quite nice. It's a bit secluded, behind a small hotel and a bit expensive, but not too crowded, and that's what important. For me, at least, considering the pool in my campus was so big that you have no problem picking up your own lane.
So we started going to this place every Saturday evening, chilling out, swimming for an hour or two and I must say, it's really fun. Not to mention healthy. Can't wait to get back swimming.. :)
