You can have multiple dreams at one night, but some dreams that keep coming back to you and scared you, might not be so easily forgotten. Unfortunately, I have some dreams like that.
It's been coming back to my sleep in the last few days. The dream of me being chased by people. I always managed to get away, eventually, but sometimes, it wasn't an easy escape. Yesterday I dream of being a witness of a murder and the murderer saw me saw him kill. And he chased me, of course. I was out of breath trying to run in the vast meadow and he was almost get me when I woke up, sweating all over my shirt and pillow. Don't worry, I immediately changed the pillow cover (wrong focus).
It's not the chase that scared me, it's the killing. I mean, I never actually see someone kill or being killed, only in movies, so the thought that I was at the crime scene, being a witness, it just too real, eventhough it just in dreams.
Last night, the same thing happened again. I was being chased by soldiers this time. I'm not sure what I did, though I'm sure there's another murder involved, but once again, I'm being chased around, a killing target. And it's no fun, try to run and hide and sometimes try to trick and outsmarting those skilled soldiers, but I guess that I have to do, in order to get away.
And get away, I did, eventually, after performing some trick like when they caught me in the paddy field, I pretended that I'm a farmer, and was there just to catch snails to make delicious meals. I heard they're really great tasting, but really? I was just at the scene to caught snails? But it looked like those soldiers are dumber than, oh I don't know, a donkey? that they actually bought my excuse. So I get away with handful of snails that I threw away in the first chance.
Well, to be honest, writing these stories right now, in the daylight, in a nice restaurant, after lunch, with a full belly and engorging myself on a refreshing young coconut drinks.. it made the dreams kinda funny. I mean, snails, really? One of the soldiers actually try on the raw snail and not quite convinced but he admitted they tasted good (I intentionally didn't mention that they have to cook the snails first).
It's easy to laugh at that right now, but I really wish those dreams won't come again tonight. Here's hoping..
